A little history about Alpha II Service, Inc.

Alpha II Service was incorporated in 1989 as a service company to service companies that were running manufacturing software produced by MCBA and/or Prologic. Most of these initial clients were running Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-11's and/or VAX hardware and either DIBOL or DBL runtimes.

As these clients moved into PC's and local area networks (LAN's), Alpha II Service was there to help facilitate the migration and implementation of these technologies. As the old mini-computer hardware was replaced by desktop PC in networks or SCO Unix servers, A2S was there helping with the details. When the internet was introduced to the business world, A2S helped bring our clients on-line by developing web sites, implementing web servers, installing and maintaining mail servers, etc. to take advantage of this new technology. When Linux was introduced along with the Open Source concept in software, we helped our clients move from proprietary systems (VAX VMS, SCO Unix, etc.) into open source Linux, first with Red Hat, then Fedora Core products. Each step of the way, we helped reduce or minimize investment in hardware and/or software to accomplish these tasks.

We became experts at implementing low-cost IT solutions for our clients
